Billund is a holiday paradise for children. Attractions like LEGOLAND and Givskud Zoo will give them plenty to do while mum and dad relax and enjoy their holiday.
LEGOLAND® celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2008 – and much has changed since the park opened its gates for the first time. Originally, visitors had about ten activities to choose from. Now, children and adults alike can enjoy more than 50 superb rides and activities. So prepare yourself to be invited to lots of birthday treats at LEGOLAND, with top entertainment and plenty of exciting activities for all the family.
Givskud Zoocontains more than 1000 animals from all over the world in its 150 acres of parkland. You can drive through the park in your own car or in the zoo's safari bus. Parts of the tour are on foot. Fasten your seatbelts, close the windows and enjoy a fantastic journey into the realm of animals. While you sit safely in the car, lions may sneak up close or ostriches may block the road.
Legelandet - in Vejle is a 3000 m² indoor playground, where children of all ages can enjoy lots of amusing games and activities, no matter the weather. Legelandet.dk offers everything from physically-challenging pursuits to quieter games and amusements. The centre also features baby care facilities and Internet café.
Baboon City is Denmark's new ultimate amusement centre. With over 9000 m² under cover and more than 200 amazing interactive activities, the centre is the perfect choice for an exciting and unforgettable day out.
Skærup Zoo houses more than 150 different species. Come face-to-face with Pumbaa from Disney's "Lion King". Or feed almost any of the animals with special feed available from the kiosk. You are welcome to bring a picnic, and barbecues are available for borrowing.
Action Park in Tørring offers activities for all the family. A pentathlon, for example, where you can try out our exciting activities, including go-karts, action trail, archery range, climbing wall, rodeo bull, aerial ropeway, fun-bikes and tightrope.
 The Deer Park in Nørreskoven, north of Vejle, was opened in 1948. It has two species of deer: fallow deer and sika deer. The tallest tree in the park is a larch of about 43 metres, while the oldest tree is King Hans' Oak, which is about 250 years old.
Økolariet in Vejle, is an exciting and very different science centre with experimental kitchen, workshop, mini-cinema and lots more besides. There are 30 expert guides waiting to lead you through the five floors and 2000 m² of exhibition space.
 Welcome to the observatory! Orion Planetarium is a multimedia exhibition with video clips and slide shows explaining how the Vikings used the stars as a navigational GPS.
Enghave Dyre - og Naturpark is home to donkeys, kangaroos, goats, camels, llamas, deer and poultry among others. And while the grown-ups are preparing a barbecue lunch, the children can explore the playgrounds, enjoy a world of make-believe on the pirate ship or maybe even go for a pony ride.
The Pancake House at Kvie Lake offers delicious pancakes. And it's right in the middle of beautiful countryside, where you can even enjoy a swim...  A trip in the country? Pack a picnic basket and visit Grene Sande, Frederikshåb Plantage or somewhere else entirely...  Visit Royal Jelling and try to decipher the runes. And see the wonderful gold horns.
